A unique calendar of events and rich cultural heritage make Wagga Wagga an exciting destination.

In the heart of NSW, Wagga Wagga sits on the south bank of the magnificent Murrumbidgee River.

As the largest regional inland city in NSW there’s plenty of entertainment in Wagga Wagga. The Wagga Wagga Civic Theatre attracts international acts. The Riverina Conservatorium of Music has concerts throughout the year ranging from world-class pianists to string quartets and orchestras. Lake Albert and Murrumbidgee River are perfect for fishing, swimming and canoeing. There are plenty of reserves and beaches to enjoy the river for swimming and picnics.

The Wiradjuri Walking Track covers around 42 kilometres, circling much of the City and exploring riverbanks, hilltops and everything in-between. Explore Livingstone National Park and State Conservation Area for walking and bird watching or cycle one of the popular bikeways.

For thousands of years, the Murrumbidgee River provided a rich source of food for the people of the Wiradjuri nation. Today Wagga Wagga offers fabulous dining experiences, boutique wineries and a trendy cafe culture. Sample the regions produce at the monthly Farmers’ Market – a perfect day out.

The CBD shopping precinct features everything from national retailers to speciality shops. From the stylish boutiques of Fitzmaurice Street to national retailers on Baylis Street, there’s something for everyone.

A mini zoo, children’s adventure playground, free flight aviary and Miniature Railway make the Botanic Gardens a must-do in Wagga Wagga.  Vibrant museums and galleries include The National Art Glass Gallery, the Victory Memorial Gardens and Museums of the Riverina. The RAAF Wagga Heritage Centre showcases Air Force history, along with representing the significant involvement of the RAAF in the Riverina Region of New South Wales.
